*** I’ll be starting a batch of Homemade Vanilla Extract in May 2018. It “steeps” for 6 months in order to transfer the maximum vanilla flavor into the extract. Then I bottle it, and deliver it mid-November…just in time for your holiday baking! Ask anyone who bought from my last batch…once you start using Homemade Vanilla Extract, you’ll never want to go back to store bought! ***
THIS ORDER FORM IS FOR PRE-ORDERS ONLY!! Pre-orders help me pay for the (expensive!!) ingredients up front, and also help me decide how much vanilla extract to make. As a thank you for ordering early, I offer a discounted pre-order price that is guaranteed through April. If you wait until the extract if complete in mid-November, then the price will be AT LEAST $21/bottle (and possibly more, depending on the current price of vanilla beans later this year…assuming there is any vanilla extract left to order!).
SHIPPING/DELIVERY: If you are local, then free pick-up will be available in the Virginia Beach area. If you want me to mail your order, then you will need to pay any shipping charges this Fall before. I estimate that shipping expenses will be approximately $7 for the continental United States. Also, I will honor my policy for free shipping on orders over $50…so if you pre-order 3+ bottles, then shipping will be free!
Every 4-oz bottle of Homemade Vanilla Extract is handcrafted in small batches and aged for a minimum of 6 months. Unlike many store-bought versions, it contains the only two ingredients that are truly necessary: vodka, and vanilla beans.
I don’t add any sweeteners. Some store-bought brands add corn syrup to hide the alcohol smell…not me! I also don’t add any artificial caramel coloring, which some brands also include. Honestly, I don’t know why they need to, because correctly made vanilla has a beautifully dark, natural caramel color!
Because it takes so long to create Homemade Vanilla Extract, I only handcraft one batch per year (or less!). So once it’s gone, it’s completely gone until next time! And as you’ll quickly discover, after you’ve tried Homemade Vanilla Extract you won’t want to go back to store-bought extracts. So go ahead and get some for holiday baking, get some as gifts, and a few as stocking stuffers…but make sure you’ll have enough left in your pantry to last all year!
